The following is a description of requirements for the invitational summer institute and your fellowship year.

Teacher as Reader and Writer:
1. Writer's notebook
2. Three reading responses (writer on writing, Opening Minds, and literacy text)
3. One personal piece of writing
4. One professional piece of writing

Teacher as Inquirer:
1. Reflection on learning autobiography
2. Reflection on teaching demonstration
3. Daily reflections
4. Reflection on writing, citing evidence from personal and professional pieces
5. Final letter to coach that serves as an introduction to your portfolio

Teacher as Consultant:
1. Teaching demonstration.
2. Teaching demonstration packet.
3. Response letters to teaching demonstrations

Beyond the Portfolio:
1. Invite leaders and colleagues to Friends and Leaders Breakfast on June 27
­­­2. Learning autobiography
3. Help run the ISI through hosting, participation in the group wiki, and involvement in a committee
4. Fall and spring follow up meetings
5. Group initiative participation and personal initiative participation
